I had a Dunford Flying Machine in the 70s and didn't imagine I'd be able to own one in the 2000s! I'd spoken to my son about their flight characteristics and having bought him one too, I'm sure we'll both enjoy making new and rekindling old memories.

My dad bought a 51" for my younger brother from Don's shop on Hollow Way Cowley Oxford in the mid 70's and well remember attempts to get it airbourne. Many years later after my wife introduced me to kite flying by buying another of Don's design kites on my 40th birthday I dug out the 51" from the loft and managed to fly it first time. I now have a 41" purchased this year and when we are able to go out again I look forward to flying the 51"s little brother. I still have the original and it still flies beautifully so get one while you can you will not regret it.

Got one of these for my 70th birthday after pointing daughter the right way. Brilliant ! Brought back the memories of flying my old one on the hill behind the Clog & Billycock pub in Blackburn after a Sunday session....in the days of the early 70's when they threw you out at 3:00 ! Now teaching grandson (5) how to fly on Lytham seashore. Great wind conditions. Recommended to anyone for therapy in these difficult Covid times. Thanks to Cochranes for keeping the Dunford dream alive.
